After installing extended a-arms I wanted to go to a dual rate setup on my shocks without shipping them off in the middle of riding season or paying a fortune for new shocks. I've been through several parts with Ohlins and finally got the right hardware today. (still not sure if the main spring is going to be stiff enough)

My current setup is:

Stock main spring
crossover sleeve - 03281-01 - 39.95 ea.
stop washer - 00154-11 - 11.60 ea. (2 per side)
spring washer - 00115-01 - 4.95 ea.
spring 46/70/45 - 180-007 - 39.95 ea.

So for $216 and 30 minutes of my time I now have dual rate springs up front with crossover adjustment. I can't adjust the height like on the Moto but the crossover allows you to adjust where the softer short spring stops and the mains takes over.

Just thought everyone who thinks their Ohlins are too stiff might like this info.

You can also order the ZPS spring from PEP for about $20. Keep your Dual springs and add the ZPS spring to the top. This will allow you to adjust the ride height. I can adjust mine so the frame almost sits on the ground. When you add the ZPS spring it allows you to move the collar all the way to the top of the shock. Just look at the very top and you will see another spot for the snap ring.

Thanks Sparky,

I'm allready at the top with the 2 springs because I am still using my stock spring as the main. If I need to go stiffer I will get a shorter one and see about the ZPS.

I think MikeXCR is running this setup on his Cannibal for Cross Country racing.

SparkyEX: PEP sold you just the ZPS spring? Did you buy it direct? I called baldwin and they wouldn't seel it to me. I was about to try Elka, but I might try PEP direct. Thanks.

My local raceshop was able to order the springs directly from PEP.
