well i was gonna let mxmike do this but i see he aint gonna. we had a low turnout last night, 21 quads all together that ran 7 different classes. you can do the math that was 3 quads per race. they didnt have the money or pro class because only 3 quads signed up for it, josh, MrP and fuller so they ran them and called it open novice. first moto josh pulled the holeshot and MrP got him in the first turn, meanwhile fuller tried to leave the gate in neutral. they finished MrP first, josh second and fuller third. second moto was a good race, josh got the holeshot and led for about a lap and a half before MrP passed him then Mrp started pulling away from josh meanwhile fuler was putting a lot of pressure on josh and caused josh to ride harder and he caught up to MrP but thats as far as he got. finish same as first moto. MrP first, josh second and fuller third. mx mike had a good ride and won both motos of his class and i think motown finished an overall second in the same class. couldnt tell you results of the rest of the races, maybe mxmike can finish that. rogers the track owner is gonna give the quad races till the end of the year to see how it goes. after last night it dont look good but we did have 2 other events we were scheduled against last night. hopefully we will do better next month. i do want to thank the guys that did come out and race last night.

 

Josh pulled the holeshot in the second race but in the first it was pretty close. If anything I would say it was even all the way around the first turn. I figured I would get pulled by both 4-strokes in the second race since it had rained a little but I didnt spin too bad off the start.


markvette- Yall need to go to West Monroe when you get a chance. It is an awesome track that gets really rough unlike Fernwood or Rock Hill. It reminds me of Macon, GA. Is M.M. this weekend or the next? Tyler did get rained out Saturday, but they were going to do all the racing today.

sorry about the holeshot thing, i thought josh had you by a foot or 2 till the corner. thats the only thing i got on video last night and havent looked at it yet. yea we wanna make west monroe but thats a hell of a drive for us and they race on sunday. hated to see fuller go but i know i will be hearing from him. i think he kinda liked me giving him hell. LOL we are off to the monster this weekend, thinking about renting an enclosed trailer so w dont have anymore mysterious flat tires. what was the payout for each place at gonzales arenacross ? later

 

markvette- I dont know the total payout, but Ryan won $200 for first place. I hate to see Fuller go also.

That was Ryan who won the quad class at the Arena cross. Man never seen him all day except for when we ran.

I read a paper Saying they payed 10 places but only 3 entered the pro class. All 3 pro quads were just frikin awsome. Ryan just had a graet race, they were 3 of the nicest quads I ever seen around here.

My main event was the worse race I ever raced. Well it started in my quallifier when I was running second with a huge gap to third and then with a lap and a half left I came over this jump and my quad died, just flat died all at once. I was nervous as hell just screaming at the quad and then I looked and the damn kill switch was off. Man was I thinking of you guys all day, lol. Ended up quallifying 5th.

In my main They had a bad wreck on the holeshot, I got around the outside and down the whoop section third. At the corner a shee got under me and up the finish line jump I intended to pass him back up, but he cut in front of me and hit the braeks, I hit him at the top of it catching myself in third gear. I nearly stauled and rolled back down the hill. Well after that I never got back in rythum and had a bad race. I took a 7th over all and well, it was a hell of a exsperience.

They had 13 quads in the amature race. 3 Z 400's, 1 250R, 1 shee, the rest were 400ex's. Oh and lil ole me, hehe.

All the amatures except for maybe 3 were the local money racers. They were from all over are area but I did recognize racing with all of them one time or another.

I did notice there was not one raptor that entered. But the funny thing was I met almost every raptor owner from are area in the stands. Every one of them had a reason for not racing but all of us who did race agreed the raptor would have not done very well there.

In my opinion this was the roughest, hardest track I ever road a quad on. It was a track that tested your whits about you. You deffinately had to ride in a rythum on this track, if you got cought out of rythum you were in for a long night. Also this track provided some of the coolest crashes I've seen in a long time.
