Default lubricating a arms

sorry about the multiple post guys. i read that some guys have lubricated their a arms so the suspension is not so stiff. in order to do this do you have to tear down the front end and lubricate the rubber bushing a arm bushing? what grease do you use that will not break down the rubber bushing?

Man you really wanted someone to answer this question huh?
when i had my front ohlins set with little preload i could pull the a-arms without pulling the shock. Didn't remove anything but the wheels and used the grease i had on hand, multipurpose.
Nothing to it. go ahead. Well worth the time spent. I also observed that my quad got more compliant the more i rode it. !!

Also, don't tighten the a-arm frame bolts so tight that it binds up the arms. Just blue loctite the nuts.

I disagree about not tightening up the bolts. The sleeve in the a-arm bushing is NOT supposed to spin.If it does it will wear into your aluminum frame causing more binding. The 01 and early02's had the bushings without the flange on it the fix for this is to grind of alittle bit of the rubber bushing on the sides then lube the metal sleeve and tighten the heck out of bolts checking for binding if it binds yet try to figure out where and repeat process. The late 02 and later have the flange works great just needs lube.
