Default Snow?

Does anyone have winter tires for their Cannondale? The Stock Holeshots dont look like they will be worth much in the snow. I was thinking about Realtors or Blackwaters for the winter months. Any recommendations?

any tire that is somewhat rounded will do well. I used to have a set of wooly boggers that worked awesome in the snow. Anything that has crosstread like a tractor works great. I would think the bandits are pretty good for the front but not sure about the rears

I use rear otsu radials (same as the 400ex stock tires) they work great if the snow is under 8 inches

Read DW Nov. issue. In the "Letters" section someone was asking the same question and they were thinking about the realtors but the mag. disagreed with that. They said to use "tractor like tread." Good luck. Well done sparky.

I thought about trying some mud sharks.. Think they would do ok? Anybody try anything like this. I saw a guy on a banshee with super swampers, that thing was wild. Climbing hills, running mud. Hooked up like crazy.

My suggestion is Spider Trac's. They have a self cleaning, aggressive center and ***** on the side for some side bite. They aren't too bad to ride in the dirt, either. They would be my choice for a good mud, snow, & occasional dry dirt tire. Check em' out. ITP bought the mold and makes them now. I would also suggest stepping a size to 22's in the rear for ground clearance.

I got Gators, and they now come in 22" sizes (which works better in mud/snow, like previously stated)

On my KOD they work awesome, never get stuck anymore unless i go into a hole that no one is making it through. They are smoother than stock too, at high speeds on a gravel road. They also pull you through the mud better, rather than digging holes.

A guy i know had sand tires on the back of his 250R (trike) and said they worked good.
