Our club is looking for liability insurance for our harescrambles series next year it used to be provided by Wisconsin ATV association and Randy Harden but it looks like he is having trouble getting insurance for next year we have discussed going with A.M.A but the high costs involved with joining for a new member would really hurt our turnout which is mostly local riders who do it for fun and dont really care about district points.Any help in this area would be appreciated.

 

I used to have my insurance lisc, so maybe I can help in this area. The first thing to do is look into getting a BOND to cover the liabilities involved. Most places don't care where you get the money as long as you have enough to take care of any problems.

When you go shopping for a Bond or insurance make sure you have accurate satistics to talk about. How many races, how many riders, how many accidents, how many claims, cost of any claims, on and on. When you go to talk to them make sure you get a chance to talk about how you plan on making it SAFE for racers and spectators.

I have insurance for the ATV pulls that we hold. I had to start a club to get it, but it's a 1,000,000 policy for about $1,000 per year. I can't remember the name of the company, but if your interested I'll get it.

Maybe we could bring our bikes to Wi and sponsor it for you, then you would be covered.

Shotgun yes that is exactly what we are looking for we are a club already Manitowoc O.H.V. club.Believe it or not the series we put on is called the Shotgun Series the name is because they are held at local gun clubs and a shotgun is used to start the races everyone is welcome to our races thanks.
