I finally received my replacement valve/cam cover Friday and put the clutch and everything back together this weekend. After 5 weeks waiting for parts it was sure nice to fire it up and listen to that motor run!!!! Now I can't wait to get it out there and RIP!!! BTW, the "updated" valve cover merely has a coat of black spray paint on it. Evidently, that is their corrosion inhibitor.

 

I'd be willing to beat that it is more than Spray Paint There are hundreds of coatings on the market that may very well help this issue that can be sprayed on. Well see when Mine comes in.
