Happy with a cannibal
#1
Hey i have a 400 ex that i love. im wanting something faster, do you guys think i would be happy with a cannibal? i have ridden one a little bit but havent gotten to try one out in the woods yet, i do mostly woods riding with some drag racing with friends and a large amount of hell raising. thanks.

You just described the type of riding I do. my cannibal does great in trails. I've always had fun drag racing my buddies (just look out, unless they have allot of money into their quads you'll beat all your buddies) IMO Its the best stock atv out there.

OFFROADREDNECK- I think you will be extremely happy with a C-dale. The power increase over your 400ex will be tremendous. The C-dale is state of the art technology and no stock quad made today can match it.

How does the handling compare? Also how hard it the maintance on a cannondale? I was told that you should use full syn. oil and i was worried that this would run into quite a bit of money in the long run. I mean i really love my 400 but im tired of getting outrun and i dont want to crack into the motor when i can just buy something stock and smoke everybody, but im worried about the overall ride of the cannibal. thanks.

OFFROADREDNECK- The handling is just about right on par with the 400ex. The Cannibal feels a little more tippy than the 400 to me. But the aggressive tires that come on the Cannibal have a lot to do with that. The stock 400ex tires flex more the the ITP's. The ITP's will hook in turns hence wanting to roll over. But that is my observation on a MX track. In the woods and regular trail riding the C-dale will handle just as well as the 400ex. The C-dale may feel out of control to someone that is coming off a 400ex. Dont let this fool you into thinking the C-dale does not handle well because it is feeling out of control cause the C-dale is so dang fast. But you will get used to the power and feel comfortable on it over time. As far as maint. goes. it is a little more than a 400ex, but this is a true hi-performance quad, not a average out-dated air cooled quad. Overall ride and finish of the C-dale in my opinion is 5 stars.

that sounds great!! i really appricate the advice. have you had a chance to ride on the new carlisle trailwolves that the new 03 cannondales have on them? i had heard that they were alot like the honda radials. if so i will for sure need to change them because i have a really hard time with busting the hondas alot. thanks.

OFFROADREDNECK- No I havent rode the new tires. I wasnt even aware that they had for sure changed them. It is just on the Cannibal and not the Speed right? Well good luck with your new purchase and I know you wont regret it. One more thing, does it always rain in London, KY? I was there earlier this year and thats all it did was rain. Talk to you later.

i am also looking into, and probably will get, a cannibal. now, you guys say its more maintenece, but can you give a comparison like dale vs BLAH maintenece wise? honestly, im confident that the dale is great. but, maintenece is a concern for me. i understand that there is more involved than most, but how much more? thanks a lot
