Well it rained on and off all morning, then stopped shortly before the quads started. So the track was muddy and slippery. I had a bad start, stalled the quad, so I was dead last. I quickly realized that twist throttle and me don't work. I got a cramp in me wrist and was unable to fully use the throttle the entire race. This was the reason I got stuck numerous times in the muddy sections. Plus if you get the twist realy muddy and your hand muddy it's hard to grip and turn the throttle. So I'm going to convert it to a thumb throttle before the next race (Feb 23). I also need to adjust the suspension. The front was a little stiff and the rear was on the soft side. I did finish the race in 5th place out of 6 in the class. I feel this race as a good learning experience for me and will help me to get it dialed in for the nationals.
Side note my dealer showed up and answered questions and handed out bussiness cards while people looked and test rode the quad. CBUS660 was there and got a test ride on the machine after the race.
