Question for Cannondale owners.
#1
I'm trying to get some info on Cannondale's in general. The last quad I owned was a 250R. I have only been riding bikes for the last 4 years(YZF426). I have decided to get back into quads. I'm wondering which model you think would be best for riding desert races 50% of the time and sand dunes the other 50%. I weigh 250 so I need somethin to pull my big *** around. I have recently done a couple of hot laps on the new Predator. I have to admit that I really like it. I'm considering buying one in the next week or so. I'm just trying to get as much info on the cannondale's before I make up my mind because I don't want to regret it. Can you make a cannondale alot faster with boltons and remapping. Any other info that may help my decsion would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance...

well i have never ridden in sand so i cant comment on that, but as for woods riding and drag racing i wouldnt trade my cannibal for any other quad(unless it was a blaze!!). i have owned or ridden most of the other high performance quads and i love my cannibal the best. it is like ridding a four stroke 250 r. it revs to the moon and will absoulty leave the face of the earth with its speed. if i was you i would get the glamis. it is made just for the dunes!!! if you were in ky i would let you ride mine so you would be a believer!!

I'd go and test ride a Glamis if I were you. I hear the Glamis is pretty damn fast (faster than the other Dales) and it was made with dunes in mind (obviously, unless sand tires and it being called a "Glamis" is just a big coincidence ). At first it took a little while to get used to my Cannibal, and I was actually faster on my old 300ex than I was on the Dale, but now I'm faster on the Dale than I could ever be on the ol' Honda. My riding style had to change a bit because I had to learn to just let the quad rev out forever, and I had trouble keeping the front end down coming out of corners. After you get used to the way it reacts, it's a blast to ride. I absolutely love it. My friends that I let ride it would agree that it feels weird when you sit on it but most everyone of them that actually jumped it said they really liked the way it feels in the air. It is VERY predictable and easy to move around in the air, and feels extremely light. It actually is pretty light compared to other 4-strokes but it feels about as light as a R because all of the weight is down low. The battery is mounted way down low infront of the motor, the radiator is mounted low on the frame, and a majority of the gas tank is under the seat.
All you need to do is go test ride one. Anyone of them. Thats all it took for me and my mind was absolutely made up. Most other people will tell you the same thing, one ride and you'll be hooked.
