I have never rode a DALE but I have heard stories of people dragging other quads on their dales. Could some of you maybe share some stories of you draggin, SHEES, 440ex, 416ex, Z's, raptors, DS's and PREDATORS. I'd like to see how the 440 dales stacks up against all the other machines. I pretty much know it will smoke EX's and Z's but I would like to know how bad??? Also how does the PRO class legal DALE stack up against the OPEN CLASS quads like the SHEE, PREDATOR, CRAPTOR, and DS in a drag race?? Your reply's would be very helpful and interesting!!

 

As far as I know right now, the GasGas is the only stock quad that will take a C-dale. I don't really do a lot of drag racing but I've beat a lot of stock and piped Shee's, Raptors, R's, EX's, and a couple of Predators and Z400's. As for more heavily modded quads... I've beat a few 416's and 440's, and mine runs about even (prolly a little slower than) my friends 440ex. Ofcourse drag racing and the holeshot in a MX race, is 2 different things. Drag racers have the luxury of holdin the throttle pinned till they cross the line, and the holeshot depends on who keeps the throttle pinned longer and takes the first corner faster.

well i cant really shed any light on this one either. we run mx and dont drag. i will tell you this we have raced mx against many different brands of highly modified quads and very few can get the holeshot on our moto. but drag and mx are 2 different worlds

 

I don't drag race but mine pulles a very good hole shot.Even when I get a bad reaction
off the gate I still am in the leed pack through the 1st turn.

 

I think you'll find the predator is very close to the Cannondale in a drag race. Check out the comparison on atvconnection.com.

I have raced several Preditors and they are nice quads but slower by a couple lengths in a Drag.

DAMN im starting to want a Speed more and more nice pics smitty the only thing i would change on that speed would be the tires i wouldput some MX Holeshot front and back cuz i like the low profile light wieght race type look but its still a nice bike[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I've had a chance to race about 4 different Cannondales and the only on that consistently beat me was a moto mapped and piped Cannibal with a 90 pound kid riding it. The rest were speed mapped Cannibals, which I usually took by a bike length and a Glamis which proved to be nearly equal in speed. Rider ability on the predator explains to me why there have been some weird race results against predators. I myself raced 2 preds at glamis and took them by 2 to 3 lengths every time. Just my experience...

 

Well rider skill is an important part at LACR in the PRO class the cannondales won, at Glamis when I ran I won.

Ride both pick the one that makes you grin the most.
