Default Very close one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys I been riding my dale for atlest a year.I heard about this stud kit update and thought it would have come loose by now.
This weekend I heard a strange noise coming from the crank case and decided to go ahead and race.Well today I draned the trany oil and it had metal shavings in it.I pulled it all apart to fond one of the screws that was in the up date was hanging on by a thread.IT was grinding on the flywheel. No damage was done to anything but the screw thank goodness. But I think one more ride would have done the moter in.

I also want to thank Kip(EZ-RIDE)for walking me through this over the phone.
THANK YOU AGAIN KIP all went well!!!!!!!!!

Was this problem fixed on the 03 models or do they all need to be looked at?

My 03 didn't have the update . I pulled all the bolts i could get to and red loctited them . I was told the one that always backs out is one you can get to, my was also almost out with only about 20 hours on it. Make sure you loosen the bleeder screw on the clutch slave. It will try to make up the space when you pull the cluctch out and break the slave when you put it back in. It's easy to check for the stud update. Pull the side cover ,loosen the clutch bleeder screw ,pull the clutch springs out, pull the disc's ,if you see allen head bolts you'll need the upgrade,If you see a stud with a nut it's done. I red loctited untill I pull the motor for a valve adj. Tom at quadsource gave me all the info on how to fix it . He was very helpfull. You will also have to bleed the clutch .I used a syringe with some hose very easy.
