Default Cdale owners i need some help.

I'm a fairly new owner of a cannibal. Great timing right! I'm experincing a problem with my quad.It looks like i'm having oil coming from the air box through the air filter leaking down to the radiator. is this possible? I cleaned the air filter once thinking it was presoak with oil. But it's back again. Where is the oil coming from, how can i clear this up? thanks. I love my c'dale wouldn't sell for anything! It's truly a great machine.

Go to Cannondaleriders.com. Go to the engine section in the forums and there is a thread on your problem.

There was an update to the engine crackcase, your dealer should have GAVE you the update , but they may have not known. Check out cannondale.com and technical bulletin TB02-009 386kb 2002 and 2003 ATVs produced prior to 7/16/02 7/16/02 Revised ATV crankcase ventilation routing.

Even though you buy from me just let me know and I can get you one.

Your oil level is to high. I had the same problem and was told to watch the level closer. I have done that and no problems since, even in a few moto's.. Update is the cure, but doesn't HAVE to be done. No engine or mechanical problems in a full year of ABUSE!!

Three possibilities,

1. Oil level to high (best case)

2. Breather kit needed ( second best easy fix and not major)

3. when we had trouble with one of ours, found out the cartrige plate came loose taking out one of the pumps, causing a transfer of oil, thus blowing out the breather. ( bad news, major problem)

good luck!!
