Pismo Settlement Close
It appears that a settlement on Pismo (Oceano Dunes SVRA) is close at hand.
Friends of Oceano Dunes had a Press Release up about a judge enforcing an preliminary agreement between the State Parks and the Sierra Club.
The temporary closure that now happens will be expanded an additional 1/2 mile (1 mile total) from March to September.
There is a possibility of reopening some of the back side of the dunes as well as establishing plover (the little bird this fight is over) to the Oso Flaco Lake area.
Hopefully this bodes well for park visitors.
