RIDING ON THE ROADS
#1
Just saw in a mag that Sweden is using arcticat atvs on normal streets there as a commuter vehicle. All they did was put a horn, signal lights and radial tires on them, when is it our turn?

Ya wouldn't it be great going to work with your quad!! or grocery shopping, then I guess our weekend fun would be driving the car!!!! LOL But seriously I think it would be a great thing if they did this here, there safer than motorcycles!! Just an opinion!!!

Here in Kentucky farm implements, tractor and ect. are allowed on public roads but atvs are not allowed but for very limited distances. I wonder if I could but a plow on the back of my Wolverine and get away with it.

I can put a triangle on the back of my tractor and go anywhere i want at about 6MPH, tying up traffic, and basically being a hazard to everyone else on the road (I hate to do this) but don't let the sherriff catch me pulling any equipment with my quad or it becomes his for a while.
In Indy you can register to ride on county roads and go anywhere you want as long as you send them their $30 evey three years. Seems like cheap insurance to keep my quad out of the impound.

Also in Indiana you don't need to have mirrors or glasses or turn signals, so no mods are needed. This is also true on streetbikes.

In Arizona we can make them street legal by adding a mirror, horn, brake light(for the Hondas) and license plate light. Must also carry full insurance just like the car. There is no requirement on the tires. It's nice to ride the forest trails from one town to another and be able to drive into town for lunch and/or fuel.
