New Maine legislation

We in Maine have a state that is mostly rural, with much forested land with mountains, and
beautiful scenery. Our democratic governor and Maine's Fisheries and Wildlife just passed laws
that for one to ride on another land they must have written permission. Well here in
this rural state its hard to tell where one's land begins and another ends. They in there
wisdom just killed riding an atv for enjoyment. Landowners aren't going to line up somewhere
and sign permission slips for every atv owner whom might like to cross their remote property.
I intended to purchase a new atv, this spring, my thoughts were on the 2005 Honda Rubicon,
or the King Quad. I guess I will save my money. Its too bad as this will kill atv sales in
Maine. If caught without permission by Inland fisheries and game warden service penalties
can range from fines, to loss of hunting or fishing priviledges. Other states should be
warned of the screwing we are taking in Maine, and throw the democrats out of state
legislature. It will be hunting or fishing next... Not only are they against business, in this
state they are against the individual who produces, and provides for the non-producer...

It's not just Maine, NH is slowly banning ATV's. Now we are only supposed to ride on trails where it's posted that we can. Yeah right, like we'll find any of them! The fact is that we have a bad name and almost no representation. We all need to join clubd where we'll have astronger voice to keep some areas open. Sooner or later, we'll be banned from most areas
