Hi Steve!
I think this is the same issue which has also been discussed in the threads about "King William's (Clinton) Land Grab". That thread has posts with hot links and some very good information. It provides access to our elected representatives. Readers can hot-link directly from some of those posts and send pre-drafted letters to their Congressmen, as well as the Forest Service. Congress will take the poll which matters most, so please don't overlook it.
I have made it easy for your readers to go to MSNBC by simply clicking on <a href="http://msnbc.com/news/325936.asp">MSNBC POLL</a>
You will find a Petition on the same issue at
<a href="http://www.e-thepeople.com/affiliates/national/index.cfm?PC=PETFV1&PETID=277027">E The People</a>
There is also a discussion forum on that issue at <a href="http://www.e-thepeople.com/affiliates/national/index.cfm?PC=PETCOM1&PETID=277027">Discussion</a>.
The Petition will be sent on January 9, 2000, so there is not much time to procrastinate.
