hey my friend rides on some trails neer his house and d.e.c. usually waits by the exit for him to come out he doesnt have a computer so he wanted me to ask what would happen if he went up to them and stopped??

It pretty much depends on how bad it is and on their attitude then. You should have regi. and ins., but if u don't, they can impound your bike, give you a illegal riding fee ( $900 in NY), impoundment fee's, and/or if they really don't like you, arrested. So for me, i figure its better to ride safely then loose it all in 1 day.

im from cortlandt manor ive been getting tired of riding on my grandmas trails we might go up to newburgh nextweekend with the quads

only reason is im from the island and always could use a new riding area!!

 

check atv ny or something like that its called modena new york its a legal and legit place to ride you need to be registered with new york state have a plate , insurance , and a orange flag if you get up there at 9am you can ride to 5 or 6 i believe. and its something like 20$ or 30$ to get in but hey id rather pay 30$ than 2500$ in fines for riding on illegal trails

 

Totally agree on that. Also, there is a place called maybrook that is completely free, just ins. and reg. needed. It is assumed that people wont rip it up and get it outlawed.
