Default mass resident tired of all the crap

i just came back from a camping vacation in maine (i love it there) ive been camping there for years and for years i wanted an atv because everyone there has them. so i finally got my new atv and it made the trip sooo much better maine has the best atv trails it was incredible the scenery the trails the moose everything was incredible i rode my quad everywhere to the store. up and down streets and everyone was soo nice the water crystal clear the fishing was great but unfortunately it had to come to an end and i had to return to mass where if i role my quad out of the trailer the cops show up because there nothing else they can be doing than bothering atvers.if they only knew the good we could do if they gave us some trailways and some slack. i come home to hearing fast and furiouse rides tearing down the street .i had an rv from nh blow a tire ripping the front bumper off of my wifes car and he had no insurance and the police didnt even show up to take a report i guess im out of luck i thought thats what i payed my taxes for i mean i look at my check every week and its missing $200 what does it go too not me to there salary and i cant even get them to take a report. and it goes to the jails to feed rapists and murderers and child molesters i dont want to feed them i have to put food on my table screw them and all the people on welfare that dont need it stop having kid after kid after kid and GET A JOB.and to all of the people who are recieving aid from the state and driving better vehicles than me and have a bigger house than mine and i pay you insurance thank you. to cut a long story short i have had enough of this state im heading were you get treated like an american good ol maine the way life should be. sorry for the bit##ing but i went from mountains and beautiful sites to crap mass has gone to hell. again sorry i just needed to get it off my chest.

Its everywhere bro,
THe town I live in has a great deal of folks my wife and I call "THE FIRST OF THE MONTH CLUB"
that is when they get there checks, that is when they party until 2 or 3 am next to my home, that is when they all go to BINGO and the Indian Casino. It just drives me freaking mad! When I get home from work, there is my neighbor(25 years old still living with grandpa) and all his low rent welfare freinds sitting under the shade tree with 3 junky cars with expired tags and no insurance! drinking and smoking. I to have just wanted to move and leave my area, but every damn town across america has these same people. Some towns just have them hid better than others with low income housing or cheap homes (across the tracks) what a shame.

The answer is fairly simple.... MAINE has no industry to speak of. The people survive up there in that clean pristine environment because of people like you who come there and spend your cash. It is the only way they survive. Back in MASS, you have more means to make money, and thems that have it could care less if you were to die tomorrow. The maine people wawnt to see you come back, and unless you overstep your welcome, they want you back. It is the same everywhere the economy revolves around tourism.

The secret, is not to wear out the welcome by using loud exhausts, doing wheelies on main street, getting drunk and littering all over the place. Something that goes on out West a lot.. and then people complain when they lose their riding areas. The secret is acting responsibly.. and you will be treated in kind.

I sure wish I could find a way to make a living in an idylic spot like the one you describe. I'd pack my bags and move tomorrow...

Already working on it myself. Not much, just 9 acres in Wisconsin, but it will do just fine for thte grand kids to come and putt around on. Wish it was more, but it is what I could comfortably afford at the time. With land prices going up all the time, I am very happy I bought two years ago. You can find a picture of my little bit of heaven on my personal page....

You're headed in the right direction. Buy the land now, financially hurt yourself a bit, get through it and you'll love the end result.

Don't be one of those who enjoys complaining, especially blaming anyone and anything else for their perceived lacking, but doing nothing about resolving those circumstances. They want it all right now and it's always someone else's fault if they can't have it. Planning ahead and putting your efforts into making that plan work is a lot more fulfilling than whining.

I live in Maine and don't fool yourself into thinking everyone loves tourists. I could do without all the Mass and Quebec plates on the roads this time of year. The large amouts of seasonal residents helps the economy but raises land and other prices to the point where it is hard for locals to stay. Besides we get the Sh&* taxed out of ourselves so it isn't all that great of a place.

dont get me wrong i know there are the same people in maine that are in mass and i know that the taxes are high in maine im sure you guys may hate tourists from time to time but trust me you live in a beautiful place dewey move here for a bit youll be running back the saying home of the free well it doesnt feel like that sometimes but everytime im in maine i feel free dont get me wrong im not a whiner and i dont mean to offend any of our armed forces who fight for my freedom i could never thank you enough but some places are ran by idiots. and the saying the grass isnt always greener on the other side maybe not but i know that some day i want to be done with traffic and looking out my window to see more houses and having them build house everywhere you look i want to look out my window and see trees mountains, animals, etc maybe its not for everyone but it is for me. i feel like owning an atv in this state is a bigger crime than murder but most atvowners are good people who want to enjoy themselves and show there kids and families a second view of the world that not alot of people get to see. but atvs could be a huge help to the state but im rambling again sorry thanks forall your replies im glad to see that there are still people in the world that feel the same as me
