Default Tree straps

What is the difference between a tree strap and a regular tow strap? How do tree straps protect the tree?

tree straps are what you use around a tree your useing to winch your Stuck butt out of a mud hole , a tow stap would work to the idea is to not injure the tree ,and have the tree huggers hunt you down

Anything that you can use to protect the tree. Winch companies all sell them with nice nylon straps and D rings on both ends. Usually about 5 to 6 ft long. The wider the strap, the better.

In a soft tree when you winch around it with the cable you can pull the cable into the tree both sticking the cable and harming the tree. A simple tree strap as described above will help to prevent both. I use a tow strap with clevisis on both ends.

You can actully kill a tree by cutting the bark all the way around the tree.
