any body got any more information,on how the meetings have gone about the proposal for an atv park just outside of Waterloo,WI. i missed the meeting last wednesday. but from what i've heard and read, the dnr is for it plus the it was the land owners idea for the park (300acres). i guess they also had the wisconsin atv association president at the meeting to. i live about 3 miles from the location so if they got that going that would be great. any other info would help, thanks.

A friend of mine that I ride with went to the meeting in Waterloo about the ATV park and said he couldn't believe what he saw and heard. The town hall was packed to the point that you could barely get in the door. A large number of locals opposed to the park were there to voice their opinions. They based their opposition on everything from noise, to ATVers being violent, nasty people, to thinking the ATV park would become an organ donor site, since we're all just insane. It's quite obvious from the results of the meeting, that there are too many ignorant people out there. One woman even quoted the infamous 20/20 story that ulitimately killed 3-wheelers in the late '80's. It just shows you what we're up against. Unfortunately, I think the new park is a dead issue.
