Didn't the government make a profit lending to the banks? Can't they use that profit towards the interest to China? What were the terms of the bonds that China bought?

 

Ummm cause if they pay back the money they don't have to follow any government guidelines or restrictions and it will be business as usual for them. Its a small investment for them to be able to fock millions out of billions.

Imagine that, the banks that didn't want or need the TARP money in the first place, but were forced to take it, are now paying it back.
