The communist is allowing repayment
#21
The thing not being said is that the money being returned was borrowed from the Chinese. It didn't come from the general fund, and a dollar saved is not a dollar earned when you owe $1.03 for every $1 that you save. I don't know how the economy is going to do as a result of the spending, I do know however that money borrowed has to be repaid. I think its great that the some of the banks are in a situation that they are able to repay the money, shows the beginnings of recovery. However, the only way that I know of for our government to repay the money with intrest back to China is to raise taxes. That will have the effect of then slowing the economy. So... in my opinion, it's just wait and see. Only time will give us the true and accurate answer the the question...(was the spending the right thing to do?) Just my opinion.

Hey, what do you know.....the Obama administration has started to allow some now healthy banks to repay TARP funds!
It was said over and over on this site that he's just trying to control the banking systems. It's communism, it's socialism; Obama the communist will never let go of control. All the scary rhetoric...total nonsense.
Here's a news source some of you can trust:

Ummm cause if they pay back the money they don't have to follow any government guidelines or restrictions and it will be business as usual for them. Its a small investment for them to be able to fock millions out of billions.
Obama Blows Al Gore while Al Gore Blows Goats and Liberals Blow Each Other. Nancy Pelosi wishes she had a goat to blow.
Put that in your liberal pipe and smoke it. Focking children with their childish ideas.

Koopa....This is the politics forum. It can get relatively ugly sometimes. You might want to read the special rules at the very top of the forum, posted by FireX. The gist is, what is said in here, stays in here.
I'll admit, I'm one of the worst rebel-rousers, but I enjoy the forum. Lots of pushing and I'm generally surrounded by a lot of folks.

"this war is lost"
"our troops are killing women and children in the middle of the night"
This was said by high ranking dems, that doesn't show lost cause implications to me.
Fight them there, or fight them here. What would you rather have us do?

Imagine that, the banks that didn't want or need the TARP money in the first place, but were forced to take it, are now paying it back.
WOW, what a surprise

A person doesn't support the troops if they don't agree with a particular mission? Nice. Yes, I do support the troops. Support for the war was up and down for me, like most people. Never did my support for the troops waver....regardless of what many right wing handlers would like you to think.
