Default How much is enough??????

"I do think at a certain point you've earned enough money"
Barack Hussein Obama

Oh really Mr President? Would the $5.5 million you made (not earned in my opinion) in 2009 be classified as more than enough in your book?
What a hypocrite you are!!!

And you decide who earns what and what's deserved? Talk about hypocrisy. He was talking about the people that destroyed the economy and walked from Wall Street with 500 million (one year's pay) and put financial institutions into bankruptcy. The lack of support for Wall Street financial reform is beyond belief. Like two heads on the same neck speaking two different things at the same time.

Sounds like you've been spewing a bit too much of this clowns "opinion". It's time to come up with your own thoughts and opinons Red. You're a classic case of the average Joe who listens to too much hate filled right-wing talk radio crap.

Hot Air Obama: “I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money”

Big Daddy ehhh. Is that what they told ya.....Ummmmmmm, are you talking about the current finance laws? The current laws allowed this to happen. They continue to allow thieves to scam retirement accounts and put economy at risk. Yet, there is major debate in Congress on the reforms needed, and very few on the Right (some yes) support changes to the laws that would prevent another melt down. Talk about the sad state of politics in this country. There is no sanity, where is the middle ground of reasonable people. Far Right wackos and lefty wackos. Congress is like a big dumb drunk stumbling around the street arguing with himself over where to go.

I would put you in the left wing wackos category.
You must really enjoy being on your selfrighteous high horse!
You are one of the most insulting people I have ever encountered on the internet.
Everyone's opinion or comments are wrong except for yours.
Am I not able to have an opinion about what our (your) beloved president says without you deriding it? Calling me a far right wing wacko without thoughts of my own???

You blame the economic meltdown on wallstreet, what about the Clinton administration and Barney Frank insisting that banks make loans to people that could not afford them?

You say all us right wingers do is repeat what we have heard, all I ever see from you is left wing wacko talking points.

I do not want a president who thinks that in this land of opportunity, this country where people want to immigrate to, to fulfill their dreams, thinks that there is a certain point where you have earned enough.

This is the land of unlimited opportunity and it should remain that way!

Red, You just repeat things you hear on right-wing radio, that's not "your opinion". You're always posting some crap like above....."This land of opportunity",......the president is stealing our country...oh no, we're all gong to die. Sensationalism is the name of the right-wing game. They get paid to rile you up Red. It's their job, and they do it for ratings and money. Don't fall for the sensational crap....do yourself a favor and look around you. Little to nothing has changed in the last 15 months. That's why we have three branches of government. Say something that's not off the wall. That's all I ask.

Of all people, you're talking about immigration and how the country was built? Two days ago you're defending the Arizona law and talking about how great it is. Like I said, a neck with two heads saying two different things.

Funny how you jump back nearly 12 years to "Clinton. There was a president in between Clinton and Obama for eight years, along with the Congress. Guess you just forgot that small piece of time.

Say anything you want on here. Doesn't mean you're not going to get push back from me. I'm not trying to insult you, I'm just using the same level of mouth as you use. You can't make posts like you make, then claim you're being abused. I'm just replying.

I agree with Red. I don't care who the President is. To say what Obama said just points to where his beliefs are. From the heart the mouth speaks. He believes in redistribution, and a cap on how much you can make???? Who is he to say what we can or can't make if we put in the hours and the stress to make a better than good living?

The roots of the economic meltdown started with the government loosening the rules of the federal loan institutions so more people could own homes. It was bad enough that they made Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac make loans that were shakey at best; then they went and through the FDIC forced private banks to do the same. My wife's bank at the time was warned that they needed to make more loans to lower income and minority community members. The federal government said they would back the loans and the first to fail were the federal government institutions. Bush should have allowed the banks to go back to how they meted out loans before but he didn't do anything either. They talk about reform of Wall Street when Wall Street just jumped into the junk loan game after seeing the government do it. Maybe they should go back to the drawing board and let private business be private and only go after swindlers when they harm people. For every swindler there are many who help citizens to create a nest egg for retirement. Who did this? Government or private business? If you want to talk about a Ponzi scheme look at Social Security. They are taking the money we make to pay for others who are on SS now. There is no money for the soon to retire crowd unless more workers magically appear. Sound a little Bernie Madoff to you? Bernie Madoff should be strung up for what he did with people's funds who trusted him. But the government is doing the same thing every day.

Some talk about the right wing media. There is one conservative news station. Fox. There is ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS on the other end. How about the slant on the left side. They gave the healthcare bill a pass and are only starting to talk about the bad parts of it after it's been passed. On radio there is more conservative talk that liberal. Internet is equally divided. Newspapers are more liberal than conservative. I have seen just as much "hate" spewed out by the left as the right. But, they'll still try to pass the "fairness doctrine" which will allow the powers that be to say who's speech can be protected. To say that the mainstream media is more reliable than Fox or vice versa is a stretch. It's nice to have a voice standing out from those that are giving Obama a pass again and again.

The thing that will destroy this country is the massive debt we are accumulating. They tell us the healthcare bill will pay for itself. Hmmm, this is the same bunch that has given us the US Postal Service, Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare; all of which are broke and unfunded now. So, the leader of this present incarnation of the federal government wants to say how much someone can make? I trust private business more than federal bureaucracy any day of the week.

On the immigration front the AZ law is basically the same as laws on the federal books already but with the ability of local law enforcement being able to make arrests. There was just an AZ sheriff shot last night buy armed drug dealers that came over the border. They're fed up waiting for the federal government to back up their words with actrion.

And, Funride, your comments are directed straight at a member of this forum. Reds were directed at a public figure. Albeit, the President. It's different to talk about a public policy official who is not on or probably will never be on this forum and talk about his policies than it is to direct your comments at another forum member.

I've watched President's come and go since Nixon and I've never seen such a grab to put government over so many areas that were previously private. Just my .02 worth.

Land of opportunity is crap?
Wow, do I feel sorry for you Funride.

And yes, I do listen to what you call "hate filled right wing radio". If I didn't, like so many don't, I wouldn't have a clue as to what this president is up to.
I don't blindly follow the faithful in the mainstream media that gets a tingle up and down their legs when Obama speaks.

I can listen to and watch Fox radio and TV and form my own opinions, just as you must listen to left wing radio & TV and form your opinions.

I don't believe I've ever written "oh no, we're all going to die" or "the president is stealing our country" so don't attribute those to me.
You're real good at that.

It wasn't the land of opportunity concept that was crap, I was saying it was crap the way you used it, as if it's being taken away from us by the big bad Marxist, Leninist, Stalinist, Communist, Hitler, Fascist, Socialist Obama.

I don't watch or listen to left wing radio, or TV because they're ain't none. What left-wing radio is there? People on the left don't listen to political talk radio. What TV is left-wing? Left leaning maybe, but not left-wing. No MSNBC is not left-wing.

Red, I'm gunna drop it and try not to **** you off directly anymore. I can tell you do have some reason in you and insulting you personally is not my aim.

Moose, Regarding media bias: I agree with the following....Perceived liberal media slant was taken advantage of by Rupert Murdock with the birth of Fox News as an alternative, with a conservative slant....Fine with me. Then, CNN started to move further to the right, due to a re-branding attempt to take the perceived middle ground spot. As CNN moved right, Fox reacts with further right rhetoric to give itself some distance from CNN. As Fox moves right, MSNBC fills the left void for marketing reasons. As Fox moves right and ratchets up the noise, their viewers are led down the path with them. I believe viewers were taken for a ride of false discontent by the marketing dept. at Fox News. The Republican party is now trying to distance itself and the control that Fox News has garnered over the party. Once a conservative proponent (and they call it "fair and balanced"), Fox now runs the party and who is going to get elected. It's a bad deal for the Republican party because the party will be split into the far right and the moderate right. Your average moderately conservative republican is gone. Say goodbye to the Spanish vote too. The party is in shambles on a national basis. Not even sure there is a unified party anymore. Not like the Democrats are any model of unification either. There is a broad spectrum of both and they overlap in many area. Congressional wins and support are still pretty solid it seems.

Fox News has hijacked the party. It's got to stop, but I'm not sure how since they have such a huge viewership. No "news" organization should have its root and bread and butter tied so deeply and directly into politics. It's supposed to be reporting on the news, not controlling the political landscape. It' BS if you ask me. My .02 cents.

"We paid $3 billion for these television stations. We will decide what the news is. The news is what we tell you it is!"
-- alleged comment by David Boylan, station manager for Fox Tampa Bay (WTVT Ch 13) to two reporters who are currently suing the network for firing them and censoring a story about the use of bovine growth hormone in Florida cows.

Regarding Red: I told him earlier......"Red, I'm gunna drop it and try not to **** you off directly anymore. I can tell you do have some reason in you and insulting you personally is not my aim".
