It may not be that soon...But i think it will happen.

They say 2-strokes are bad for the environment...They arent efficient.

You cant see the pollution on atv's....But on my waverunner i know that it is very pollutive, you can see the un-burned oil in the water...

 

They've been saying it for years but I do think it will happen in a couple of years.

 

It’s probably going to be a while. Most likely, the ATV manufacturers will do the same as the outboard manufacturers and make motors with lower emissions so they can keep building them. Some of the 2 stroke outboards are supposed to be as clean as a 4 stroke. We will probably see a lot more of fuel injection and 2 stroke prices will therefore go up a bit.

 

In 2006, they arent banning 2 strokes, but they have to meet certain regulations that will make them not even worth it, and anyway, by 2006 four strokes will be performing better that 2 strokes do. The only 2-strokes that will be made after that will be for racing and nothing else. Ive heard this from alot of different sources

 

Others?? The only other 2 stroke still in production besides the banshee is the blaster
