Default Women riders/racers sign in here......

Hello, I am a 42 year old rider in Pa. I have been riding 3-wheelers (before 4-wheelers were produced) and quads since 1970. My neighbors had 2 "brand new" Honda ATC 90's. One was green and the other was red. I was 9 years old and was allowed to ride with them all of the time. We rode in the woods in the summertime and pulled sleds in the winter. We rode those machines daily for 8 years before I moved away. Since then I loved off road vehicles.

Previous machines: (sold)
1971 Kawasaki 100 dirt bike (I was 11 years old)
1973 Yamaha 175 Enduro (I could not afford a car so I bought this when I was 16)
1981 Suzuki 450 street bike (moved up from the 175)
1985 Honda TRX 125 (great 4-wheeler, not fast but never left me stranded)
1985 Honda ATC 110 (Bought at a garage sale in 1995 for $250, looked good, ran great, gave to my nephew)

Current Toys:
1988 Suzuki 650 Savage street bike (Bought new, great bike, still runs and looks like new)
2003 Kawasaki Bayou (so far so good!)
2003 Yamaha Raptor (owned by roomate, but get to ride!)
???? Mini bike (also owned by roomate. This is the wildest pony in the barn. 5hp of pure evil!)

Thanks for the thread.
I hope more girls/women will post.

Hello!
I have only been riding for about 6 months. I got hooked shortly after my husband got his first quad. He let me ride it once, and that was all it took! Now I just wish I had the time to ride more!
I have a stock '02 Raptor. I'm not racing yet (need to do those suspension mods before I would consider seriously racing) but I am involved with the local mx track and help with p.r. and stuff like that. Over here there are actually quite a few women who are racing. There are at least 10-15 women out racing every weekend at Pacific Raceways. (I don't know if they are on the forum or not).
My favorite types of riding are MX (practicing), desert and some dunes. I don't really care for trail riding to much even though that's the majority of what's over here in western WA.
My 8 year old daughter also loves to ride. when we ask her what she wants to do on the weekend, the first thing she says is "go riding"!
