Default OT: CR500 WOW!

I recently picked up a KLX300 bike to finally learn how to ride on two wheels (been on ATVs for 13 years).....Tough learning curve to say the least !! My regular riding bunch consists mostly of 2-wheelers and have finally gotten enough confidence to test-ride their bikes. I hopped on a mildly worked CR500 (port&polished) and SAW JESUS (no offense intended)

Unbeliveable power and acceleration - makes most ATVs seem meek. Anybody else had the same thought ?

Just had to share......

I have a chance to pick up a CR500 that needs a piston & rings for about $500. I am thinking swap the motor into a quad.

Rode a CR500 at the dunes last spring. Had a paddle tire, pipe, etc. That thing went up the hills like they weren't even there. Absolutely huge power.

No replacement for displacement! Nothing like a big bore.

I have both a Raptor and a CR500 thats ported and polished. I bring both to Glamis. I can start the 500 at the base of any hill or at any point on the hill ,it doesn't matter, it just screams up. It's alot of fun!
