Default water skimming

hey this might sound like a weird question. i dunno. but i don't get water skimming. i've seen pics of it and it looks like the quads r just ridng on the water......i mean, how do they stay up? shallow water, tires floating, high speeds?

It's just the faster you hit the water the easier it is. It's the fact that hitting the water at a higher speed the lighter the quad is while touching the water. My friends and I do water skimming ALL THE TIME in the winter on selected "open spots" on area lakes. It's a rush!!
