Default Cr 125

i am thinking about getting a CR 125. it has hickman shocks and a pro circiut pipe with a muffler, pro taper bars, new Michelin tires, diffrent reed cage, with a brand new top end and i think thats it. It is a 2002, I was told that the 2002's were slow, I have no idea about this and i am thinking about racing it after i get used to it and all. Yes i know that his is a ATV forum but i cant find anything like this forum anywhere on the net to help me out. so any help would be great. thanks

heck nooooooo, someone is bullsh*ting you if they say that its slow. i have two buddies with cr125s, one is a 98 and the other is a 2002. the 98 is bored .20 over and the 2002 has yet to be worked on. ive riddin both of them and to tell you the truth the 02 is accualy faster for some od reason. well shoot a cr80 is even fast. my cousin(heavily moded) will chew up and spit out my 440ex. a stock 125 is accually faster than my 440. dontlet knowone lie to you. oh and how big of a guy are you. if you do not have expirience on a 2 stroke dirtbike than you be holding on. those crs have the hardest hitting power band out there. oh one more thing, of you plan on climing hills, hold on tight or the bike will make it up the hill without u. well good luck.

I would not tell the world about how a 125 ate up a modded bike, Especially if I owned it!! My lil bro had a 96 CR 126 (immaculate shape) and he smoked my Shee, but the Shee was bone stock..... He beat it by about 3 links, and his relatively stock 250 R (only a Paul Turner pipe, a shaved head, 36 mm Carb, and Rad Valve,) a basically stock motor, he SSSSSMMMMOOOKKKEEEDDD that 125, we switched bikes, and the 125 was still SSSSMMMOOOKKKKEEEEDDDDD!!!! I immediately took the motor out of my Shee and sent it to CT!!!! mYeah the 125 is fast, and because of power to weight ratio, it should outrun a quad, BUT not a modded quad (oops, forgot it was a 4-stroke, never mind)
