I was on my moms crown vic today on my way home from work and I saw this mustang hauling *** behind me, it was a v-6 stang. He had to slow down to 55 behind me cause of oncoming traffic but when it was clear he floored it and tried to pass me, I floored it and he stayed right there with with me till about 80mph then he had to slow down cause of a semi once the semi passed there he goes again so i floor it again and were neck&neck to about 95 then he starts pulling away!!! once i hit 100 i had to slow down and get behind him cause there was like 3 cars on my side, but anyway how in g@y hell did that little v-6 mustang pull away from a v-8?! a cop v-8!?

If it was a 99+ V6 Mustang then thats why. Those updated 3.8s are pretty quick. I sold mym 00 V6 5-speed a few months ago and miss it a great deal. The car was no Trans AM or Cobra but it was quicker than most people think. I had no problem spanking stock Impala SSs or Crown Vics (yes even the overated Police Interceptor models) the V6 Stangs are so much lighter than them that it is no comparison, the only mod to my car was a K&N filter if you can even call that a mod. Stock Vs Stock though a pre 99 V6 Stang is slower than a Crown Vic 4.6 PI and will get stomped by an Impala SS. There is quite a difference between the two V6s.

 

I know what you could do, buy a mercury marauder and transform it to a crown vic, changing the symbols and etc. See if that V-6 stang wants some then MOO HAHA. The Marauders aint nothing but a Crown Vic with the old 4.6 DOHC V8 Cobra Engine with 305HP and 300lb/ft torque, and they will haul for a granny car.

 

nah she doesnt know i drive her car like that, and yea it was a 99+. The thing is Ive beat these little 6's by alot at the drags no problem thats y i was like wtf! anyhow we'll meet again when im on my GT and then he'll see whats up.

Buy an 87 GT(get the convertible for the hell of it) for 4K and bolt on the procharger to run 12's and go 160 for < 10k total

My truck SPANKS V-6 mustangs, beats marauders until about 100 then they fly past me, and stays right behind mustang gt's

well this weekend a boy from carthage rolled into town and he had a mustang V-6 5speed......he said he had High comp pistons, a chip, some kind of head work and he named off all kinds of shiz.....

so we went and lined up and he put one length on me the first race then the second race I couldn't get traction so he said we would just call it a draw......everytime I would touch the gas white smoke would just billow out of the fenders.......
that was the fastest V-6 mustang that I have ever seen in my life.....don't under estimate those things....they are perty tuff........

then I pulled the craptor out and it was all over but the cryin on his part.........my lil 42 cubic inch motor put the hurtin on him......LoL......
