Looking for

atleast 3 MP
Name brand, I like Sony, but open for suggestions
Small in size
Rechargeable batteries
Video recording capability preferably w/sound
Decent zoom
AND A GOOD PLACE TO ORDER IT FROM
This sounds like alot but I like to do my research and shop before I spend that much money.
Thanks in advance.

Dunno what they are in the US, but the Canon Powershot S50 is a 5MP that meets all your criteria .. it's 799 in canada, and you guys always get stuff way cheaper than us .. all my pics are taken with it.

This is the exact model I have been looking at Shotgun. As soon as I can get a little more money, Im probably going to get that one. Crtuchfield is running a special right now, defer payments and pay no interest for 180 days.......heck yeah.

td,
I would get a camera with the most mp you can afford,
I think they say that if you intend to just print 4x6 prints
a 2.5 mp is fine. I have the Sony Cybershot DSC-707 5MP,
it does movies with audio , has infrared night shot, and
takes one heck of a picture..
I got a lot of info from this site Steves Digicams
befor i bought mine.. I've taken pictures of my kids and
had them printed on 13x15 paper and the quality of the
picture is great. The quality is as good if not better than
any photo studio we've payed for pictures at. The only
thing I didnt like about the camera was the fact that Sony
only provided a 16 Meg memory stick, which will only hold
about 8-10 pictures at full resolution.. But I was able to get
2 128 meg sticks for about $40.00 each when I purchased
the camera.. With the memory stick you can take it to your
local walmart and print the pictures out on their professional
printer.. I have the Epson Stylus Photo 825 printer, it prints
great 4x6 prints and the 8x10's are awsome also..
I looked at all the top name digital camers, befor choosing the
Sony, I like the way all thhe menus were and the ease of use,
it was in my opinion the best of all the camers.
definatly take a look at Steves Digicam site, you'll learn a lot

i have a hp320 very cheap compared to what ur looking at, 2.1 megapix, but if u are looking for something to send pics through the web/email that is all u need. i have to use it on its lowest quality setting to take email size pics 80k or so.. because it works like this..... bigger/better picture quality(more megapixels)=bigger file size/longer uploads. just something to think about, all depends on what ur planning on using it 4,
