Highjumper, are you talking about the are up by the airport? I used to ride up there all the time, but it is posted and patrolled now.
I think people who are willing to sue about stuff like, "I spilled Hot Coffee on my crouch now you owe me 1 million dollars for my pain and suffering." She should have known we she ordered hot coffee it came hot.
The lady rider who rolled the bike down the hill probably tried to sue everyone invovled in that experience. Anymore the guys who carried her to the ambulance are probably laible for something.
I have learned not to trust anyone who has,is or would sue anyone else. The lady was riding beyond her ability, it's that simple. It is her fault and her fault only. No one forced or coerced her to try and ride up that hill. No body strapped her to the atv and forced her to ride. Grow up and take respondsibility for your own actions. If you are prepared to ride to where the friggin' ambulance can't go, you best be prepared to get you own sorry, possibly bleedin' behind out.
It is this type of person who is your best friend right up until you get served with the papers.

The original statement was about loosing land to ride on and he was mad, mostly about something that happened to him. But atvbbs cut the post and title because two people made a silly comment about violence. So I think he said bye cuse they cut it out. Not sure?

Yes, at the airport. I have not been since I found out it had closed, so I personally have not seen the fence or signs but friends of mine have. I know the story because a guy I know rides trail bikes and they were the original group that the city told 20 years ago they could ride there. They have even held races there in the past for bikes. But now the sue happy world has did it again. Plus the people that were ridding on the road and not on the land helped also. People just don't get it do they.

Face it, we live in a litigation happy society where one is not responsible for his or her own actions something or someone else is. You can thank our court system and a lot of lawyers for this. I agree, we all need to take responsibility for our own actions. To quote Dean Koontz,"Human beings can always be relied upon to assert, with vigor, their God-given right to be stupid."

I have to agree with all of what is said...I have even had a few crooked employees take me to court in hopes of making a few easy bucks... There is only one thing that can protect you from someone suing you with a lawyer... you getting a better lawyer. Up here a good lawyer goes for about 190$ to 225$ an hour. We try not to use there services often.
As for riding areas...I live in a new subdivision which used to be woods. Within the last 3 months the woods are almost gone and my mudhole has been backfilled...sob, sob...
Keep riding...while we can!
