I have been doing some work for a company down in Georgia going on seven weeks now. I have made some great money enough to pay off the bills put some coin in the bank and pay for the 440 kit I wanted. But I’m getting real itchy to ride I miss my trails and my EX is sitting in the warehouse starting to collect dust now with a flat tire.
I ‘m planing on hitting a couple of new trail systems on the way back home. And this continuing delay from hitting the trail is starting to make me batty. The company keeps throwing money at me and wanting me to do more work. Every day I been walking out of the office through the warehouse past my (now dust covered) quad and going to work always giving a second look and thinking about the new trails I have yet to ride on the way home. Siting here now in the office with the door open to the warehouse within sight of, And hearing the quad call me in great anticipation to the great unknown adventures yet awaiting me.

I need some help on this decision guys!
Do I say another two weeks and make the extra money for new custom axis three way shocks and new +2+1 A-arms. Or be happy with what I received and cut for the trail adventures awaiting me now!!!

I was supposed to be here two weeks, Now I’m up to seven. And there are no riding areas around here.
Help

I would look at it this way..You got plenty of time to probly ride once you are done with this project.I know you got the itch real BAD.I get it myself. But like you, I cant seem to find the time to ride cause of the hours of the job.BUT when i go to the BANK i see the new things i can buy for the quad or for other toys...BOB

Hey..if you can't ride it, at least you can beef it up!!! What's wrong with that!!! Take the cash...spend some of it on the bike.

oh come on!!

what a bunch of boring old farts!! look, you need to live in the moment, my friend. look at it this way: when you are lying on your death bed thinking back on your life, what will you regret? will you say "boy, if only i could go back to the summer of 2000 and work just a little harder than i did before. the boss would really have appreciated that..." HELL NO you won't!

my point, what is truly important? i say, get out there and ride. make the most of your time here.

Greetings,

Its an old saying, but time is money. I've always found that when I have the time, I don't have the money -- and when I have the money, I don't have the time.

Are you trying to convince me that there is no place to ride in Georga? Try the places to ride forum, and look for someone near your area of georga who can tell you of a weekend or after work place to ride close to you. (Depends on where you are, if your working in downtown Alanta you might not be able to get to a place to ride after work, but that leave weekends)

If your working 80 hours a week (common on buisness trips), talk to the boss and see if you can cut the hours a little bit. Maybe the boss can set you up at a relatives farm to do a little riding too.

Don't overlook other things to do. I don't know atlanta, but perhsps someone can set you up with a wave runner and a lake just a short walk from work. That would keep me from going crazy. I'm assuming here that boredom is a major part of the problem.

Of course there are times when you have to say the job isn't worth it. If your single, and work irreguarrly, and this job won't last longer I'd recomend sticking it out. If you miss the wife and kids, (Which I would have expected you to mention) or you think this job will turn into a career that you don't want without notice, then perhaps you want to leave.

BTW, I wouldn't nessicarly spend the extra money I made on the quad mods. Look at it this way, the ecconomy won't be going this good forever. There is nothing I'd like better then to spend the entirety of the next great depression on my quad knowing that I have enough savings to last it out. (I'm single with no kids, so I'd prefer to live on my savings and let someone with a family have a job)
