Well your truck should be realitivly cheap to lift. Your best help would probly be go to Offroad.com/chevy and go thier fourms. My 1989 is IFS so suspension for that is atleast a grand to start. i have 3 inch of body on mine and 33's it sits a little taller the tires clear fine. The only thing with body lift is if you do it do it right and raise the bumpers so ther is not much gap. To see pics of my truck check out my site Click I have been a member of offroad.com for a while now and they all are very knowledgeable. If you are new to lifts go there ask questions and learn you will be giving truck advise before you know it. Oh yea if you have a 3/4 ton I would get 35's with 6 inches of suspension you would not have any trouble you probly could clear 35s with 4 inch of suspension with SFA but on a truck like mine with IFS it takes 6.

I'd go with a 4" suspension lift, not to tall but will look great with you're 33's. I had a 79 Chevy with this setup and it looked really clean, very easy to install, blocks in the back and springs up front. Then when these tires wear out you could even go up to 35" or 36" tires

Yes, it will look cool after but be ready for that truck to ride alot worse than it used to. Especially with big tires. Iv owned alot of lifted trucks, and all i can say is Ford sucks and you cant go on long rides comfortably with lifted trucks that much.

Dragracer I understand what your saying. I test drove a 77 Ford 4x4 with a 6inch lift and 35's ... sweet lookin truck but rode like a covered wagon. But hey it doesnt exactly ride good as of right now so how much worse can it get ... oh wait i probably dont wanna know that answer. Would a 4inch lift look weird or too big with 33 inch tires?

It would fit nice. 4 inch is not huge so 33's will look good. I think 33s are probly the best size if you done want to totaly ride like crap and they are alot cheaper than 35s. what kind of tires are you looking at?

The truck already has these 33 inch kelly safari tires? Dont know if there any good or not but there gettin kind of warn so theres more things I need to know. Whats a good 33 or 35 inch tire and about how much do they run. I found a 4 inch lift kit in the local paper ... says its got blocks springs rancho shocks etc for 200 bucks. Says he paid a total of around 800 bucks for everything so I think Im gonna go pick that up sometime soon.
