I wonder if these people have ever heard of proofreading what they have written. If I remember correctly there is a book called a dictionary which enables one to look up the proper spelling of any word in the English language. If you peruse the dictionary you will find the above statement to be true. ALSO, LET ME SAY THAT WHEN YOU USE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ON THE INTERNET YOU ARE CONSIDERED TO BE SHOUTING. When people are confabulating with one another it is nice to have as many words spelled correctly as possible. Everyone makes mistakes, but not one after another. If you use the proper instructural materials that are at your disposal you may learn something. We as human beings have been given brains and the propensity to learn so that we may better ourselves.

confabulating???????????????????????????????????
thats an awful big word for us common folk!!!
I just love people who try to use big words to
look smart, when it only makes them look like an
idiot!!!!
Everybody is getting a little to picky, as long
as I can understand the meaning of the post, a
few mispelled words do not bother me.

Huntergreen,it is obvious that you do not mind a few mispelled words and thats fine. However, if you can read and it is not to strenuous a task for you to look up words in the dictionary you will see that all the words I used in my response were used correctly. The message I was trying to convey is this. All you have to do if you do not know the proper spelling of a word no matter how small or large is to look it up in the dictionary. If you perform this very easy task you might learn something. It does not matter if you are as you say, common folk, you can still learn. No one in this world is any better than anyone else. However, that does not mean that one cannot improve upon himself or herself. Dictionary:a book of alphabetically listed words in a language, with definitions, etymologies, pronunciations, and other information. I wonder where that definition came from. Do you think it might have come from the dictionary? It does not take much to look up a word. Your statement referring to me as an idiot(name calling) shows lack of vocabulary on your part. Resorting to name calling really hurts. Oh, I'm so hurt.
By the way, I don't remember seeing your name in this particular forum until you responded to my post. It really must have hit home.

a few minor misspellings don't bother you, eh? until it snowballs anyway... i submit the following REAL post from the yamaha forum for your review:
"I will take the new yamaha on with my dads qaudzilla I gaurantee the new yamy will get smoked as a matter of fact i will race him on my 250r and I will bet all the money in my pocket right now (hehe)seroisly I will race a new raptor with the zilla anyday any time anywhere. and don't say in tight woods because a good rider will make up for the zilla being wide."
now if you can tell me what the HELL this means - misspellings notwithstanding - you are a better man than i.
can we start asking a little bit more of ourselves as civilized humanoids?

fakie99,
I am not saying that the same thing does not happen on other forums. I was responding to the post on this forum. I am not a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon. I'm trying to prove a point. I have trouble with words sometimes so I will refer to the dictionary for the proper spelling and meaning of that particular word. I do this when I am on the computer and also at work.
I didn't understand it either. Something about a yamy. Is that some kind of sweet potato?

Add this shortcut to your desk top. It's not necessary to know the precise spelling of a word; just get in the ball park and you'll get several "sound alikes". there is also a thesaurus to tell what the word means. One of the problems with our society is that we are succumbing to mediocrity in many ways and the scary part is that many do not even care, as evidenced by some of the posts here. American industry has finally begun to wake up to this fact after being hit in the pocket book by foreign manufacturers. Now, if we could just get our public schools, and those who attend them, to do likewise.....
