Wasn't it "Primtime" a couple of years ago that used a small explosive device to help ignite a gas tank in an older GMC or Chev truck. If I remember correctly, there was some controversy on the gas tanks exploding in rear end or T-bone collisions (the old trucks that had the tank behind the seat). Primetime addmitted to using a small detinator to "help" the tank explode in their story for all to see. Go figure, the liberal media trying to put their own twist on something to change the perception of the American public!?!?

Here is the E-mail that I sent to them.
This is with concerns regarding your Primetime Thursday episode about Ozzy and his accident on an ATV.
I enjoy your news program and feel that overall, you do a good job of representing the truth. However, after hearing some of the things said during the Ozzy segment, I am surprised that you would make such blatantly wrong comments without doing some kind of FACT checking first. Many of us have been working hard to help correct some long held misconceptions regarding ATV's and ATV Safety. Your standard incorrect rhetoric regarding the dangers of ATV's, as well as the TRUE facts about them, only aids in perpetuating the fears of non ATV'ers.
Not only was the weight of the ATV that Ozzy was injured on incorrect (Roughly 400lbs, not 600lbs), but the statement about 100mph Quads is also untrue. The ATV industry has limited their ATV's top speeds to under 75mph. In most cases, unless under perfect riding conditions, one would be Lucky to even reach 70mph on one. Unlike Snowmobiles that are capable of 120+mph. It takes thousands of dollars as well as vast knowledge to get an ATV to exceed 100mph. I would venture to guess that there are probably LESS than 1% that even come close to attaining those kind of speeds.
While Ozzy's accident is regrettable, it is not a reflection on the sport of ATVing as a whole. As with any form of motorsports, there are risks. That is why they make safety equipment, like Helmets and Chest protectors (Neither of which Ozzy was wearing, by His Own Choice.).
If you would like to do a feature on unsafe ATV riding, check into the Governments restrictions concerning the size of ATV that children under 16 are allowed to operate. Example, if you have a 15 year old that is 6ft tall and weighs close to 200lbs, he (By the Law) is Forced to ride an ATV that is DANGEROUSLY Small. Now that is something to be concerned about.
