the movie was good and it did change my life but not like the bible thumpers hoped for. Jesus did not die for our sins. he was put to death because he broke the law. and the law was he went againts the church. the church was threated of him that he would change peoples mind and that was againts church law. so he was put to death. not a fair death but over kill death. non the less it happend. but no where did it say he died for our sins. he did say please forgive them father for they do not know what they do. what he ment by that was they were being mislead by the church and to forgive them because the church was evil. jesus was a normal everyday guy, he was a good hearted person and tried to help people. in his teachings he tried to teach people to love one another and love not war. she he would be a hippie back in the 60' 70's. he was for the people not for the big church with all their gold and riches blah blah blah. and JESUS WAS NOT WHITE. why in every move do they protray jesus as a WHITE male. he is from the middle east born of a middle eastern women there for he would be dark skinned with dark hair. not white with brown hair. he knew that he was going to die and he knew he was breaking law. i think its cool how he stood up and took the punish ment like a man and didnt give in. if anyone has any questions i can answer them. i dont feel like typing ne more. and you dont get to heavn through jesus. you get there by being like jesus following his examples. so many "christians have taken the bible and turned it in to what they want. jesus was not perfect. he was just a nice guy that tried doing good. and died for doing good. nice guys finish last.

 

o.k? thats your view. jesus was born of a virgin mother, he was able to heal the blind, crippled and sick. the bible does say he was Gods son. doesn't sound like an ordinary man to me?

who was the bible written by, MAN. Man made things are faulty. im not saying the bible is or isnt true. and the movie defintly isnt 100% true. but you cant take everything you read or see 100% as fact. i mean yes he was born of a virgin but a middle eastern virgin mother so he wont be white. and yes he did very extrodinary things. like make blind men see(from what the bible says) turn water into wine, blah blah blah. but did david copperfield fly across the audience, and make the statue of liberty dissappear, float people on stage. jesus could have been a magician and the miricals people saw were actually illusions. like i said the bible was written by man. and just like the fish story. i caught a fish and it was only 5in but by the time 8 people have heard it ive caught like 10 fish all 2feet long. know what i mean. the bible has been interpreted millions of times so things have gotten out of hand.


the bible also says thou shall not kill. but yet the church killed jesus whats up with that. explain that one. so how can so many christians be against abortions but for capital punishment. if you are u are hypocritical. you are either for both or againts both. but if u belive the bible u better be against both. all im saying is i do beilive in jesus that he was a good guy and if u follow his examples by being nice and helping people then u will go to heavn.

 

Superballs5337, have you ever read the Bible??? Jesus DID die for our sins. And Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven. He even states that. So do others, read Acts 4:12 and James 3:17. And yes, He was perfect. The Bible says he lived a sinless life. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. If you have a problem with something in the Bible, let me know and I will help you find the Truth.

if u think bout it this way im kinda being like jesue, im questioning the bible/church because i dont belive everything in there is right because it was man made. yet all of u so far prolly want to crucify me. for saying that everything the church says isnt right.

 

The Bible was not written just by man. It was divinly inspired by God and is therefore errorless. God wouldn't let anything false go into that book. I tell you what, read the book "Evidence that demands a verdict" by Josh Mcdowel (sp). He went out to prove that Christianity was false and ended up becoming a believer (much like C.S. Lewis).

 

how come you wont address all my issues only the issues you want too.

 

oh and for that book i dont have to read it. because all he would have to do is realize there are over 100 different religions. it just goes to show that religion was man made. so how do u know which one is right when there are over 100. cause you belive yours is right but yet the other belive theirs is right.

 

Jesus did not die because he broke the law of the church. First off, there was no "law of the church" to put a man to death. That is why the Romans did it. He was crucified, and back then a person could be crucified for only 3 things. Robbery, murder, and treason. Jesus did none of that. As for Jesus being a white person in the movie, I guess what difference does that make? No Christian would ever try and convince you that Jesus was a white person either.
