Hey guys,
I am wanting to customize my truck. I really want to make it look different then the other trucks on the road.
I really want to make it unique. But not over done. I'm playing around with different paint jobs. It's stock color is red. you can see in my photos what it looks like now. I want to do a red and black combo.
Here is what I've photoshopped so far.
Truck Paint
Please leave me comments.
If you've got a better idea for a black and red paint job that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg speak up
Thanks everyone.
P.S. The photo shopping is poor so you'll have to looks past that haha

Personally, before I went into doing a custom paint job, I would spend some money on possibly a lift and some nice tires and rims. Tires and rims can really set the look of a truck off. Step bars and brush gaurds look cool as well. Duel exhaust is also an option. Then I would go into paint, well, sort of. I like to hit the trails occasionally so I wouldnt personally do a custom paint job for fear of destroying it. That particular red/black combo doesnt really appeal to me. I would say something like black ghost flames would be sweet. The ghost flames arent over powerfull, but look really cool. You may also want to consider instead of paint, to get some custom decal made buy a local graphics shop. It would costs a lot less than paint, plus you get get a lot of cool details in it. Then just have a body shop clear coat over top of it. Just a suggestion

I'd go with BBS on the vinyl idea. The sheets are cut from a computer program, so you can get pretty creative. Cost would be a lot less and the "oops" factor is more forgiving.

Thanks for the info guys.
I agree.
Here is what i'm going with.
So far I've ordered.
Stainless Nerfs
Stainless tube bed rails
Stainless Rocker Panels
Stainless Bull bar and KC lights
Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust system with 22 inch 2.5 inlet 3.5 out stainless tips.
All this shows up next week.
Im going to order American Racing Nitro wheels for it in the next couple months. Not sure if i'll keep the rubber I have or replace it.
In June or July i'm going to put a 4 inch lift kit in it.
I also put dual 10 inch subs in it on a rockford amp. It's pretty cool. I got this custom molded sub casing that goes under the rear seats looks awesome it a crutchfield box.
So bit by bit i'll have it pimped out. I think I've got a pretty good start on it.

I don't care much for that Paint Job I think the stuff you are buying will make it look great though. Get a small lift and some 35" Tires and you will have one awesome truck for sure.

Yah the paint job was just kind of a starting point to get my brain in gear now that i look at it, it looks terrible.
I'm looking forward to installing all my goodies next week.
Man truck add ons are expensive.
And people wonder why my quads are all stock ha-ha.
35's would be cool but I still drive a lot of road miles with this truck.
those would murder my millage. Stock i get 17 18 on the freeway. But with the pipe and K&N I can hit 20
or i did with my 99 GMC.
I need to find a tire that looks good and fits the look of the truck with a small lift but doesn't mess up millage too bad. I know lifting it and doing things like that will mess it up. But i know big knobby tires really do a number on millage. So if you know of a good tires that are the best of both worlds let me know.
Thanks
