this a realility. The bills are real!

yes I am just about 18...We were talking about it in class the past couple of days and we called our state rep (gutknecht) and he he was out but then HE himeself called my classmate back...He said that this probably wont pass because it has to go through so many different people befor it acutally happening...WHEHH what a relife to hear that...

 

Guys, this is total crap. I'm in the military and there is a big push to size down. The Air Force alone is getting rid of about 25,000 people. In fact they are having trouble finding enough people that want to volunteer to get out, so they are looking at people with discrepancies in their records. For instance, someone who got in trouble for something and has a black mark in their personal information file. They are planning on kicking those people out.
Believe me, there are too many people trying to get into the military that are being turned away.

 

It may seem like total crap but I just want to know why it is in there right now...go to thomas.loc.gov and look up the bill numbers...they are there

 

I believe you that the bills are in there, but I can't see kicking people who want to be in the military out and force people into the military who don't want to be in the military. Of course, who says our government knows whats good for the country. And with all the bases we are closing both here and over seas, I don't know where they expect to put them.

 

I dont know why we are the ones who have to police the rest of the world...I mean how many countries are our troops in? To me one is too many...I myself do not think that our government is doing a great job...an invesestagation for an investagation? I just have a feeling that we are going to exactly as the romans did...

 

Nothing is better than an all volunteer military force!

You guys need to look at the bigger picture. The free world is being challenged everyday, by terrorists, extreme governments, dictators etc. The last election in the Soviet Union had a candidate running for president who wanted to be like Adolf Hitler. Right now in South Korea, there is a president there that wants to basically reunite with the North Koreans. Do not take for granted what this Great Nation has given you and what the service men and women past and present have done to protect the freedom that you have.
The people that are pushing the drafts are saying that to many minorities are in the military and that there are not enough middle class white men in the military.

Now, if they draft, then they draft. Have a sense of pride and honor for this Geat Country.

I would rather have the United States lead then follow any country.
