My father in law used to be in the American Mountain Man Association and did the whole rendezvous thing etc. Mrs Shady would be with them when she was little, camping in the teepee, doing the tomahawk throws at the targets, the whole 9 yards. She can shoot and throw an axe--I don't give her ANY crap. Got me a 50 Hawken my father in law made. Alaska looks a lot like Montana just bigger and more hungry carnivores. Way cool. I was looking at your page and I noticed Montana looks alittle dry. Are the St. Anthony Dunes in Montana? The closest thing we have to dunes is actually glacial silt and it wreaks havoc on brakes.

I can not wait to get my little guy his first quad, I know we are going to have blast together, of course little sister will have to go too.

Mountain man has grown out of his dressing up stages for now, he did attend a rendevous last fall and said he had a great time. I hunt with a .54 Hawkens muzzleloader as you can see in the one photo, there alot of fun to shoot. Mountain Man and I went after rabbits one day and I shot so many that it was hard carry them all back to the truck while wearing snowshoes, should of brought a backpack but did not think I would need it. Mountain Man shot more lead and powder, weight wise then his rabbits weighed, blamed it on the gun of course. AlaskaBoy.

I fished that boat in '96 in Southeast Alaska

Cought just over 1 million pounds of salmon.

It was leased from Trident Seafoods Inc, and has since been sold and re-named the Savannah Jean,,,and has not been fished in two seasons. If the owner gets desperate enough,,,I will buy it and convert it to a 2nd residence.
