who else here hates aol......about a week or two ago, they stopped allowing instant messanger names that were once part of an aol account be active. ive had he same name for 4 years....and we got rid of aol about two years ago, because it slowed the computer down too much...now i lost my buddy list, some of the people on it i have no way of contacting now......just puttin this out there if someone is making a decision between aol and another isp, just realize that aol is a bunch of moneyhungry sharks....and will attempt to suck you into there slow, overpriced "service" by any means possible, and then will fight to keep you in there grip with everything they can do. hehe sorry i went off on a tangent...

 

Ya AOL blows. But I don't pay the bill so I'm stuck on it.

My main problem is getting booted alot. I get the "Your AOL connection has been lost" thing about every 10-30 minutes. Really sux when you've typed up a long story on a site such as Atv connection only to get the "goodby goodby" thing.

 

My old screen names from aol used with instant messeger are not missing.

 

aol is designed for people who are... "inexpirienced" wiht computers, it combines all the stuff. but it is a complete rip off, get comcast or a high speed internet or if u want to go just as fast as aol, get net reach, 10 bucks a month and no bull.

Netzero Standard dial up. Millions of dial up numbers nationwide so you can be sure you will get local access without paying long distance. Only 10 bucks a month and I can count on one hand the number of times I was booted off from it in over a year of use.

 

If you like AOL go with walmart same as aol only half price.

 

I can almost hear the trailer park rushing to Walmart now!

 

I had AOL included on my phone bill. Added 5 bucks a month. Now have DSL for 1 dollar difference.

 

i'm i missing out on a lot i'm on aol 9.0 seems ok but if you don't know what your missing, it would seem ok
