I suspect there are a few readers of this forum that were involved in the invasion of Europe 60 years ago today. To these people I say THANK YOU and want to let you know your efforts made a profound differance in our world.
One of my uncles went in with the 82nd Airborne and managed to survive the war. His stories of the D Day battle are unforgettable.

my uncle faut in holand and many other places across france. not sure what infantry division he was in. didnt like to talk about it much. i have his broken compass,knife, bullet from thompson, medals. and a peircin coin he was awarded. anyone see band of brothers?
