your favorite cordless drill/driver?

I was checking out the Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita cordless 18v's for work, and came across a Panasonic drill. Now, I'd never even HEARD of Panasonic making drills before, but I checked out the reviews on the 'net and the featrures and ended up buying it over the other big name brands... I was just building a deck yesterday and this drill rocks! The battery lasts forever, it's got awesome power, it's not super heavy, I could go on and on. Anyone else even heard of the Panasonic drill yet?
I got the 18v, but I hear the that 15.6v version is almost as good! But, I needed MAX POWER.

I have had a dewalt 14.4 cordless hammer drill for some time now. I keep trying to break it (not really) but it keeps getting the job done.
My dewalt is going to be replaced with a panasonic.

i have always liked dewalt 18v drills, incredible torque, twists your arm around before running out of power. but i just bought a lil craftsman 6v drill for 10c at a yard sale (yea 10 cents!!) it seems ok, but it dosnt have much power ovbiously, but itll git-r-done

I have always like dewalt / black and decker. They had a plant in our town and kept 400 people working. Some one figured they could save a couple bucks by moving the plant to Mexico. Besides the loss at the plant the trickle down wipped out a couple of other local plants that supplied parts to them. I will never by a product from Black and Decker/ dewalt again.

WE have a 18v cordless Ridgid drill. It has tons of power, and is very nice to use. I would highly suggest getting this sucker. It also has a charger that charges the batteries in 30 minutes.

I too like the 18V dewalts. I LOVE my 19.2V Craftsman though. 400in/lbs of torque! Lightweight, well balanced, has two level built in so you can drill/driver straight.
If you think about the craftsman, get it in a kit with a 19.2V cordless sawzall. Those thinks are AWESOME!!! If you think you can tear some stuff up with a regular sawzall, there is no limit to what you can tear up with a cordless.

I bought a 7.6 volt Mikita about 16 years ago and the sucker won't die so I can "need" one of the new drills. Have had my eye on one of the Dewalts but after reading NovaSS's post and some of the others may try the Panasonic.
Wonder if the Mikita would survive an "accidental" fall off the barn roof?
