That weasle ( this is really what W stands for) got his cush assignment to a national guard unit to avoid the draft and going to war, then couldnt complete his obligation to the boy scout camp he was assigned to. Some have correctly called it AWOL., and during a time of war, is considered treason...but he still made president. This country was formed, to get away from tryany, now people are embracing it. Thats unamerican. Dont believe me? Read the unpatriot act, theres plenty of freedoms trashed, that this administration asked for and got , that many real americans fought and died for. Its smoke and mirrors people, while we get bogged down in iraq, fighting for oil, the administration is stealing our freedoms. The people we need to fear the most are in washington.
I support our men , who are in the armed forces, by questioning their need to be there. If it werent for people like me...you probably would be getting a draft notice. I just dont support our administration, they dont deserve it.

Regardless of how the problem was created, it needs to be dealt with. More so if we (Americans) are in any way responsible for creating the problem. I don't see the logic behind the arguement that we have no right to do or say anything because we helped create the problem. As I see it that increases the need to clean up the mess, step up, take responsibility and make things right.

There are 2 things I would be willing to say hondabuster is not; a military man/woman, a parent.

I am both, therefore support whatever action needs to be taken now to solve the problem before my sons have to step outside themselves and face the neighborhood bully. Either we deal with this now or the once again the sons will pay for the sins of their fathers.

I HAVE fought for this country and will again if called, without hesitation. Hondabuster has been listening to too much Dan Rather. Before I get flamed more, I did not come into this forum to start a fight or get in the middle of something, I stated my opinion and I am done. I know how this country works, I work for this country. I dont care if President Bush got a cushy job with the guard when vietnam was gettin' hot, at least he wasn't throwing someone else's purple hearts off a bridge. He is now the Commander in Chief and he deserves the respect that affords. I learned a long time ago in the military that you may not respect he man, but you better respect the rank. It cracks me up when people talk about how bad President Bush screwed up this war. This is coming from people that only believe what they saw on CNN during Desert Storm, the nice tidy war. And like President Bush is doing everything all by himself, you gotta be kiddin' me to tell me that anyone believes that. There are lots of men and women directing the best they know how, this war. Lemme tell ya, there were a lot more screw-ups during that war than we have seen in this one, the difference, CNN didn't broadcast all they had then. The issues of why we are there mean nothing to me, spilled milk. We are there, let's get it done and get our men and women home safely. I do agree that you shoud be able to say what ever you want, but be ready to take some salt with whatever you hear. be able to stand up for what you believe in. What would you have done if President Bush would have been standing on the pile of rubble that was the WTC addressing the rescue workers and said, "Well, I don't think we should go and fight with whoever may have been connected with this tradgedy, I think we should just let bygones be bygones and not go to war where we might have more Americans killed." Kerry would be President and we would be b!tching about our riding areas being taken away by that mean mean Democrat. I can tell you that I know what an American is, an American is free to choose whatever destiny they see fit. An American will fight for what they believe in and an American will answer the call when needed. Or maybe I am confused, maybe that is just a Patriot. but, I believe and American is just that, a Patriot. Flame on.

You could say it, but it would be your perseption and not the truth. However its wrong, on both counts. I spent 5 years active duty, a vietnam era vet, and two years in the guard. I have two kids. Not sure how this matters...does it make my points any more or less valid? If hitler said 2+2+4, would you disbelieve him, because of who said it...or would you believe it because its a fact, and you know it,and it doesnt matter who says it?
Bush and co already have your kids, and grandkids paying for our sins. Every buck for the war, has been borrowed and put on the debt, and the next generations will be stuck paying for it. At least the democrats are more fiscally responsible, they tax and spend, they pay as they go.
Thanks for your years of service, I have big issues with the bosses, not the guys in the line of fire. Id like to see some of my generation's mistakes and problems cleared up, before we turn things over to our kids. Giving the administation a blank check, and just sitting back for the ride...is only going to make things worse.
The most important thing a true patriot can do...is question authorities. In fact its your duty as a citizen, to be informed and to educate yourself to the facts.
Do you think bush only tells the truth? How about the medicare perscription desaster of last year...all good? How about the shell game with social security...its a money grab . who do you think will benefit more...merril linch or you? How about more tax cuts for the wealthy, if its so sucessful...why not extend tax cuts to all? Why wont he discuss his whereabouts during his years in the gaurds that are unaccounted for?..embarassment..drug rehab? Why have all the terror alerts stoped, now rhat the election is over...could it have been a political tool? or are the terrorists happy bush won?Why isnt cheney and rice, hyping dirty bombs in the US anymore...did it already serve its purpose..or is it no longer a danger...or was it ever a danger?
Why cant the Isrealis step forward and stand with us in this so called fight against terrorism? They are our only allies in the area, why cant they publicly help us? They do help behind the scenes, but why cant they acknowledge it?
Why is egypt jailing democratic politicains? Shouldnt we be spreading democracy to our friends...or just our enemys?
Why is the presidential campainging so nasty? Could it be that way on purpose...to keep ethical and honest people from wanting to participate?Is it to silence anyone who has common sense answers, instead of radical right or left? As long as we have only two choices, dem or rep, we actually have no choices. Why cant term limits be imposed? why cant third party candidates participate in debates? why do people buy into this?
With the internet making it so easy to read foreign news, theres no reason to be in the dark. If all you listen to , is the officail propaganda machine, some call it the nightly news, you wont know the facts. All you will know, is what they want you to know.
Most people dont want to dig for information, because it makes a person uncomfortable to know the truth about our government.
