It could well be your only option if we fail to elect the right people this Fall! It's a matter of public record that Mr Gore wants to ban all internal combustion engines from public lands.
I call your attention to the the ATV voter's guide in the Oct. issue of ATV Action which gives you an insight to how your local representives in Congress stack up based on their past voting record.
I would urge all those of voting age to read this article before going to the polls. Actually you younger riders should read it also as you may influence your parents to vote, and to vote accordingly.

NO!!!!! to your question. electric ATV???

I agree with you 100%.I have written leters to all my local representives on this very subject.
I am a member and supporter of 3 organizations that help protect our riding intrest.I feel we ALL need to stand together and have a voice. The Blue Ribbon Coalition is one of the ways to have a voice in our future.I think supporting an organization such as this has our best interest in mind and is a good investment for the future.
I wish some of these organizations would do a better job on getting the "word out" of how important and urgent our support is.

I know first hand how difficult and time consuming it is to write letters to different officals.Becoming a member / supporter of one of these organizations helps you and all of us have a voice. Also it keeps us all together and informed.

"It's a matter of public record that Mr Gore wants to ban all internal combustion engines from public lands."

In fairness, Cal, that's not exactly what Mr. Gore said. Actually, Mr. Gore declared he wanted to ban all internal combustion engines, PERIOD! Not just internal combustion engines on public land, but on private land, streets, highways, waterways, airways--totally!

Yes, I agree, it sounds strange and far-fetched, to state as a goal abolishment of ALL internal combustion engines. However, consider the source: The romantic lead role model for "Love Story," the discoverer of the toxic Love Canal, the inventor of the Internet, the Viet Nam combat veteran, the tobacco farmer who farmed from a Washington, DC, hotel suite and prep school, the guy who even today says his visit to the Buddhist Temple was NOT a fundraiser (and no laws were broken, although the jury convicting his operative for the event felt otherwise), the man who tells us "no controlling legal authority" (aka Janet Reno) prevents his dialing for dollars while on government property . . .

Enough preaching to the choir. If someone wants to publish the positive side of Candidate Gore's policy issues regarding ATVing and public access to public lands, I welcome the input.

Ah yes,

We all know that the manufacture and disposal of the additional batteries to run the country would have no adverse effect on the environment, nor would the heavy metals from additional electric motor manufacture.

And electricity, the magical, quiet, pollution free stuff that dispenses in endless supply from holes in the walls of all our homes..... LOL.

I wonder if AL knows what propels those jets he transports himself around in (only when absolutely necessary, I'm sure). OH! That's right, it's just air, it goes in one side of the round metal thing and comes out faster on the other. I wish I lived in Al's world, heck I may get to before long....

Let us hope & pray that Bush wins. I personally am holding off buying a new quad or snowmobile because whats the use of having toys if there are no places to ride?
