i've bee playing this one game "cabela's dangerous hunts" and it freezes randomly like when its loading, its never done that before, and i want to resolve this issue before the great christmas games come in, i can restart it and it will do just fine until 45 minutes into it. this isn't probably the best place to ask this but i'd thought i'd check with the techno maniacs in here (no offense).

the first thing to check is your game disc. make sure it isn't dirty or that it doesn't have any smudges or chips. then I would get a cd laser lens cleaner and clean that. if that doesn't fix your problem, then you might have a crappy game or xbox. how old is your xbox? i have known some people whose xbox's just died on them.

 

well i don't remember when the x-box came out, in 02 or something, i just remember that i got it right when it came out, then the first one ovedr heated and the game disc tray locked shut on me, and this is my 2nd x-box, had it for a year or two, probably two years, and i have 23 games, and 67 demo discs, and um, i don't play it 24/7, i just play games tha ti get in the mood for, like when its hunting season i go and play hunting games while i play football at another time, and war games at another, i have not played it for more than 3 hours, but i do have a lazer lens cleaner, its just a disc with a micro scopic brush on the bottom its in a well ventilated area, my room is up stairs, and heat rises so the heat from the house goes up there, and its getes pretty hot so i just open up windows, crank the speed on the fan dials, and play. its never froze before, but now it does it with this one game, i have not checked with other games, tonight i'll check the halo 2 game, because that game is in mint condition, so if that freezes, the x-box is messed, but seriously, x-box really has to do some mods to the systems, its great already, almost no problems except, for that freezing thing, but, i'll check a few more other games.

Check the disk If the disk has circluar scratches around it (most likly middle to outside) then your disk drive is crapping out on you and scrathing your disks
