I hate it when I hit some rock or log or whatever and it jerks my handlebars severely.....usually when I least suspect it or when I'm tired after a long ride. Someone suggested adding a "steering stabilizer" to my quad. Sounded like a great idea, but when I looked in the catalogs, all I see are those $319 and above devices. Anyone know of a cheaper device/method?

Yeah check ebay. I have seen them on there for about $150.

Bump steer is something different. It is something that happens when your front suspension flexes, and it causes you front end to wander. That's a little different than just wacking a rock with your tire.

What kind of bike do you have? I like the Denton Racing ones, but they are sometimes hard to fit.

I had a steering stabilzer on my 250R and took it off after one ride. I prefer the freer flowing motion of not having one on. Just try not to hit those rocks!
