Default Sorry, no Santa

It hasn't come out on the news yet, but I can give you an eye witness account. Santa's sleigh has been shot down by friendly fire over the mountains of Afghanistan. It is believed that his transponder failed and friendly forces could not receive his IFF code to distinguish him from friend or foe.
It's Christmas morning here and a massive rescue effort has been launched to recover the sleigh. Aeiral photographs show hoof and foot prints leading away from the wreckage so it is believed that Santa did survive the crash, however, rougue groups of the Taliban have been operating in the area and may have captured Santa. Al Jazera is showing a video of a man in a red suit with a blindfold on. Although this person resembles Santa, it cannot be confirmed that it is actually him.
U.S. troops are massing in what will become the larges rescue mission since the Jesica Lynch rescue. It has been called, "OPERATION, DENY FIGGY PUDDING".
Santa's family has been notifyed of the incident, but at this time, have not commented on the situation.

I will keep you up-dated as I hear more, but prepare your children for the bad news. This could mean the end of Christmas.

Your title had me scared for a moment. Then I saw that Santa was most probably alright. They'll probably just steal his toys and then send him on his way. If not, it's amazing what those elves can do with tinsel. I saw a movie where they used it to cut through steel. I just hope they don't push Santa into a corner. They don't want to see his bad side come out.

I just heard that US Rangers made an assault on an Al Queda backed stronghold in Southern Afghanistan near Kandahar. Although there is no confirmation, Santa was rescued and is at this time being taken to a forward location where a back-up sleigh is standing by so that he can complete his mission.
A US Marine, Force Recon team has recovered bags of classified material from the crash site mostly in tact.
A down side of this story is that eight reindeer have been tranquilized and placed in quarintene. Sec. of State, Donald Rumsfeld is in contact with Afghani officials to try and cut through the red tape and have the 30 day quarintene waived so Santa can be on his way.
If I hear anything else, I'll let you know.

I just heard over the Armed Forces Network that the reindeer have been released and are being harnesed at this time. However, Santa has missed his slot time over Iran and will have to detoure over the no-fly-zone in Iraq. US Air Force F-15's will escort him although they may have a difficult time keeping up.
It is estimated, assuming he doesn't run into any more delays, that he will make the Eastern Seaboard by 0300 (3 A.M.)
It looks like there may be a Christmas after all.

Merry Christmas to y'all and have a safe and happy new year.

Starky that was great.

Have a Merry Christmas and stay safe over there now!

Santa and his helpers managed to get a +2" axle installed in Mrs Shady's Raptor this morning, and a polished Armadillo bumper too.

Mr Shady got some riding pants and maybe later gets to not wear them......
