I feel bad for them as well. What terrible destruction. I have a few friends who are trying to get in contact with their family members. Anybody else see primetime live tonight? They said there were three children playing on the sand in Thailand when the wave swept them away onto an elephant who carried them to safety.

Its the worst thing ever.
Just so happens that my dad's cousin, decided to spend Christmas on a Barefoot sail boat in Thailand. They were out to sea, when it hit. They felt a wave, but that was it. When they got to shore, there were tons of people inthe water, clinging to wood, trees, rocks, dead bodies, whatever. They were able to save about 35 children, before it was too dark to see anymore. They have been on the news, they were form Oceanside. Cnn last night, Fox the day before, and Good Morning America the day before.
The totals are now above 130,000 and it will rise to 250,00 before the diseases hit. There are villages that were destroyed 100%. Its pretty crazy how there are minimal animal deaths. They have a sixth sense. Pay attention to the animals.
God Bless them, I hope you can find it in your hearts to send some money that way. My Dad's cousin, was there doing some chairty work, as well as sailing, with Samaratian's Purse before this happened. They had workers on the ground when it happened. Thats a good place to send the money, if your worried abotu bad guys taking you money.

Holy crap Kam.
The disease thing will be a real problem, not from the dead bodies (they don't actually foster disease but smell real bad) but from the sewage which has been dragged up and mixed with all the available fresh water. Cholera coming. Fresh water is the most important thing to get to those people.
Mother nature now and then sits up and lets mankind know who's boss. We just live here, we're not in charge of much.
