Default 2 Strokes being discontinued?

This topic came up in 06 Blaster going 4 stroke and basically we concluded that as of December 31,2005 that no more 2 strokes will be in production except for racing and such.. so get your hands on those 2 strokes before they become extinct! Someone also stated that the '06 Blaster with a 2 stroke will be a rare quad because it wont be produced for too long.. so when those come out get your hands on those too! The topic also argues what they will put a YZ250F motor in it.. but noone knows...

Better get your hands on some now before you can't at all It gonna be different without 2 strokes around.

So does this mean buying two strokes off ebay is going to be much more expensive than it is now once the 2 strokes are discontinued?

Yeah that's what i think, it gonna be hard to touch a newer blaster 2004-05 for under $3500 when they are gone. Kind of wish i still had my 04 blaster but have to say i love my lakota and they are also hard to find so it equals out

With the tougher EPA standards they are being phased out but i read that some manufactures are getting "credits" for producing quads that meet the 2006 standards now and can produce 2 strokes for a few extra years.
Then why is Honda trying to make most of there quads meet the new requirements when they don't even have a 2-stroke atv anymore?
All manufacurers have to meet the current standards and the new ones in upcomming years. The EPA keeps tightening the belt.

I'd like to see a banshee with an SDI system like those on the Ski-doo sleds which I understand to be legal under the impending EPA restrictions.

I dont know about that MYTRX250EXISBEST, because i also read something in dirtwheels mag about the blaster getting a 250 4 stroke motor put in soon. They were also saying how the blaster time was going to be up and even though in 2003 it got upgraded it still show it age.
dont believe everything u hear, especially from dirtwheels, and how is putting a fourstroke 250 in a blaster an upgrade?
atv mag had an artical about this last year. it said by the end of 06 they wont be producing 2strokes unless they can pass emitions.... they should just restrict the heck out of them with a pipe. then when you buy one you pay like 2oo and get a aftermarket pipe so its just like a normal 2 stroke again.
