ok i have a few questions about the noise leevl of quads and bikes. my firiend has a stcok crf250 dirt biek and it sounds really good and is a lil loud but it doesnt really matter because we ride on 300 acres of out land. i want a quad that sounds aboutt he same and i was wondering if a 400 ex or a warrior woudl sound the same wiht a pipe? also does a blater wiht a pipe have the same noise lesvel as a 125 raicing bike wiht a pipe? thanks

Default loudness

hey tyler u lucked out, as matter a fact i have riding buddys that have all of those machines..first of all with the CRF250 my buddy andrew has a full white brothers system and it is wayyy loud but its hard to match that noise with a quad, well not hard with how loud it is, just the sound. He also has a 400ex but it just has a FMF megamax pipe w/o the spark arrestor on it and its loud but not as much as his bike. My buddy charlie had a warrior with a megamax w/o the spark arrestor and that thing was louder then ***** but it didnt sound as good as the CRF. You can match the noise level of the bike with a quad but not the way it sounds...as for the blaster and the 125...my buddy charlie has a blaster as well and it has a Pro Circut exhaust on it and it does sound pretty close to a dirtbike, not as loud but kinda the same, lots of my friends that ride have bikes so all i can hear when i ride is them, but u can compare the quads to the bikes u listed with the noise, just have the quads the same sound to them and they tend to be just alittle quieter..if that made sense BUT REMEMBER!! do not make those quads as loud as u can unless ur on that 300 acres, or another huge plot of private land, i do not recommend taking the spark arrestor off either, fires get started and thats another thing that will lead four-wheeler enthusiests to problems. We dont need to make anymore quad haters so ride responibly and hope i helped!

I remember win I was young and liked the noise and yes I can remember that far back! My question is why base which quad to get on how loud it is? Why not get one that will out perform the bike that way they will stay behind you and only hear your exhaust. I like the way my Ds650 sounds and it's loud also but non of the quads or bikes I have heard compaired to the YZ426f I owned. That thing was loud and sounded good! plus the power was unbelievable! nly problem with it was if you stalled it the thing would kill you trying to get it to start again, nobody could figure out why it was so hard to start when it was hot. Don't worry about having the loudest but instead the best eprforming you buget will allow.

yeah like my quads loud but its loud enough, sure its cool to have a loud machine but after a few days it just causes problems..in my case having too loud of a quad means u have to quit riding earlier because we dont want to disturb the neighbor
