Default Need help

I got a 1992 warrior the other day, And if I put it in rever the engine die's. Anyone know what it could be I started checking the wire. The rever light come on and it die's.. Any idea.. thank's

maybe somethings shorting out and killing it. ive never had a problem like that with my bikes so im not the best help. wish i could help you more

Default Need help

The old Warriors were famous for a short in the reverse mechanism. Can't remember the particulars, but it would cause the reverse rev limiter to kick in when it wasn't in reverse. Your's may be something related, but it is shorting out completely. Try the Yamaha forum. You might find some oldtimers who still remember the fix.

I got it fixed I found a broken wire and got it fixed..
